With more than 1100 hectares of vines and a very varied terrain, the Crozes-Hermitage “appellation d’origine contrôlée” covers a series of eleven communes in the Drôme.
It is by a changing weather that we had the opportunity to realize a demonstration of Bakus, our electric and autonomous vineyard straddler, on some plots of Crozes-Hermitage.

Thus, it’s in March 2021 that the M. Chapoutier farm open its doors to us, a few hours to carry out the first demonstration of Bakus in the Rhone Valley. Our electric and autonomous vineyard straddling robot had the chance to rub shoulders with the blooming peach trees 🌸🍑 during its demonstration on the plots of the largest vineyard in the northern “côtes-du-rhône”.
With a soil that is rarely uniform, including many stones, the intervines have once again bluffed. But more than words, the images are enough to see this work.
We invite you to discover the video of the demonstration of our autonomous vineyard straddler.
Soil type: Ancient alluvial deposits, soils from very ancient granites and gneisses, but also loess soils (aeolian silts) or calcareous marls.
Soil : Height of vegetation 1.70 m and 1.70 m to 2.00 m maximum width
Thus, VitiBot is committed to working alongside winegrowers who wish to make the transition to sustainable viticulture.
Do you need a demonstration of our viticole electric straddler ? You wish to invest in robotics? Do not hesitate to complete our form “about you” or contact-us. Our teams will accompany you throughout your process.
